Andrea Ricci’s short film Aliens Night has gathered over 2 million views on YouTube, and now the filmmaker has unleashed a sequel.
Here at 1428 Elm, we’re big fans of the Italian filmmaker Andrea Ricci. Since 1998, Ricci has been creating various sci fi short films using CGI VFX. He typically gathers critical acclaim from them and has surpassed 11 million views online through his shorts.Aliens Night 2 (Photo: Andrea Ricci)
Aliens Night is one of his best short films so far, pulling in over 2 million views itself following its release last year. Now, Ricci is premiering the official sequel Aliens Night 2: The Greys Return.
Aliens Night 2 features the same 3D graphics seen in other Ricci shorts. Impressively, the film is created entirely by Ricci himself on a zero dollar budget. Not even using a crew, all Ricci uses is an HD camera and a home computer. From pre-production to post-production, Ricci writes, shoots, edits, acts, animates, and provides the CGI all by himself. He’s a man of many talents which really shows in his work.
