King for a Day

The Disney Channel’s Tangled: The Series announced in the Hollywood Reporter yesterday that they would be getting a new name for Season 2. Moving forward the hit animated show will be known as Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.

That isn’t all the news though. In addition to Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi reprising their roles the voice cast was announced. For all of you Ash vs Evil Dead fans that are missing Bruce Campbell, you’re in luck. The actor will be lending his incredible vocal skills to the series.

He will be joining such talent as Carol Kane (The Princess Bride), Timothy Dalton (Hot Fuzz) and Kathy Najimy (Hocus Pocus). What we know so far, he will be portraying the “bizarrely charming King Edmund.”

Campbell is no stranger to Disney fare. His past roles for the House of Mouse include Hank Cooper in the Love Bug, Coach Boomer in Sky High, Rod “Torque” Redline in Cars 2, and PT Madison in Goldrush: A Real Life Alaskan Adventure to name a few.

The series will be premiering on June 24 at 8 a.m. ET/PT on the Disney Channel, the DisneyNOW app and Disney Channel VOD. So, plenty of ways to catch Bruce.
