Pennywise: The Story of IT — The many faces of Pennywise are on display

Don’t you want a balloon? We now have a look at the cover for Pennywise: The Story of IT.

If you’re coulrophobic this just isn’t your day.

On September 15, 1986, three months and two days before I was born, the IT novel was released. The novel introduced us to arguably the most popular evil clown, Pennywise The Dancing Clown (alias Mr. Bob Gray). Then on November 18, when I was thre years old just shy of four, the first part of the IT miniseries premiered on ABC bringing the evil clown to life.

I still remember the first time I ever saw the miniseries. At the time I wasn’t even a horror fan, to put it mildly. The fanged clown attacking poor little Georgie has stuck out in my mind ever since.

Now in 2018 we’re getting what looks to be a phenomenal documentary, Pennywise: The Story Of IT. The film will cover everything from the historical aspect of the fear of clowns all the way to the making of IT. The film touts interviews from the cast and crew, as well as behind the scenes footage. It will be a must for any fan of IT.  The cover for the Blu ray is breath-taking. Featuring the titular clown and his many other forms, I would love to have it on a poster hanging in my room. Don’t believe me? Have a look for yourself.

Was I wrong? I didn’t think so. Kudos to the artist who dreamed this up. The artwork alone is worth the price of the Blu-ray. We see Mrs. Kersh, the teenage werewolf, the skeleton, and not to mention Georgie. There also seems to be a mummy present. That particular monster only appeared in the novel, and a blink and you’ll miss it cameo in the climactic battle in IT (2017).

I would float to see this documentary, as it appears to cover the two films and book. Pennywise lives! Stay tuned for more info about the release of this Blu-ray.
