Greg Kinnear jumps onboard Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone

Greg Kinnear is the latest name to be added to the growing cast of The Twilight Zone. The actor joins Steven Yeun in the upcoming episode, The Traveler.

Greg Kinnear, known for his work in such films as Little Miss Sunshine, As Good As It Gets as well as starring in the mini-series The Kennedys as JFK will be joining Steven Yeun in The Twilight Zone. Deadline made the announcement yesterday.

Kinnear will appear in the episode entitled, The Traveler. Interestingly enough, the actor has tackled horror and the supernatural before but he is best known for his comedic efforts. Before that he worked with powerhouse genre director Sam Raimi in the Billy Bob Thornton penned flick, The Gift. Cate Blanchett portrayed a psychic who is tasked with finding a missing girl. It is loosely based on Thornton’s mother who had the ability of second sight.

He also has the classic sci-fi story War of the Worlds mini-series in post-production. Kinnear will join the other impressive thespians in Jordan Peele’s reimagining taking his place alongside Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, John Cho, Allison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay and Kumail Nanjiani.

The Twilight Zone is headed for CBS All Access sometime in 2019. Production has been underway on the series since October. Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will produce the effort along with CBS Television Studios and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Also handling executive production duties is Carol Serling, the wife of the late, great creator Rod Serling.
