Castle Rock’s Lizzy Caplan stars in Apple TV+ true crime drama

Lizzy Caplan who is killing it in Castle Rock as Annie Wilkes has a new series. She will be starring in the true crime drama Truth Be Told for Apple TV+.

Lizzy Caplan is one of the top reasons to watch Season 2 of Castle Rock airing right now on Hulu. Her portrayal of the iconic character from Misery, Annie Wilkes is absolutely brilliant. While her performance echoes Kathy Bates’ she manages to make the role her own.

According to Refinery 29, the actress will be playing twins on the new Octavia Spencer true crime drama on Apple TV+, Truth Be Told. Reese Witherspoon is behind the production of the adaptation of Kathleen Barber’s novel. For those of you that enjoy watching the ID Channel, this is a must-see show.

Octavia Spencer is a podcaster named Poppy Parnell. Ten years ago, she helped to put a killer (Aaron Paul) in jail for the murder of a well-known author, Chuck Buhrman. However, she finds out that maybe he wasn’t the correct suspect.

As she searches for the truth, she finds out that perhaps the writer’s wife, Erin (Annabella Sciorra) and her daughters Josie and Lanie (Caplan) have the answers to her questions. Did she help put the wrong man behind bars?

How did Erin and the twins not hear what was happening on the night of Chuck’s death? Furthermore, the weapon was never recovered. Obviously, they know more than what they are revealing.

Truth Be Told joins an impressive slate of programming for the fledgling streaming service. The Morning Show (featuring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston), Dickinson (Hailee Steinfeld) and Ronald D. Moore’s (the mastermind behind Battlestar Galactica and Outlander) new sci-fi adventure For All Mankind are just some of the exciting titles headed viewers way.
