American Horror Story: A definitive guide to all the Halloween episodes
By Mads Lennon
Hotel: Devil’s Night
Devil’s Night is a particularly entertaining episode that unites some of the most terrifying serial killers from American history together in one room. You’ll see the Zodiac Killer, Richard Ramirez, Aileen Wuornos, and more.
The episode takes something of a break from the main storylines of Hotel and presents something more intriguing. For many, this episode is their favorite of the season.
Consensus: Devil’s Night definitely feels like a Halloween episode, it takes place on the night and it is mentioned multiple times. Plus you get to watch a bunch of serial killers who never met in real life interact.
Apocalypse: Forbidden Fruit
The Halloween episode of Apocalypse is not necessarily about Halloween which is kind of disappointing especially as Forbidden Fruit actually managed to air on the date. That said, it still covers Michael Langdon’s past and history.
We learn quite a bit about Satanism this week as we discover that Michael was heavily encouraged by the Church of Satan to go down this dark path.
Consensus: It might not contain a lot of pumpkin or candy but it makes up for it with eerie conspiracies and a peek into the world of the fabled Satanic Panic.
