In some ways, it’s easy to feel bad for Leatherface. Having apparently grown up in a family of sadistic lunatics, it wasn’t farfetched for him to develop a penchant for wearing dead people’s faces over his own.

Whether he has a good reason or not for being such a nutcase, however, doesn’t make him any less terrifying.  Because of Leatherface, just hearing the sound of a chainsaw alone is enough to frighten anyone who has seen The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
