Creepy Countdown: William’s Top Ten Favorite Horror movies

7. Dead Silence (2007) directed by James Wan
“Beware the stare of Mary Shaw, she had no children only dolls. If you see her do not scream, or she’ll tear your tongue out at the seam.”
A young widower moves back to his hometown searching for answers to his wife’s murder, which may be linked to the ghost of a dead ventriloquist.
I thought this movie was brilliant on all levels, great acting, genuinely creepy atmosphere, and a tremendous twist ending that even I didn’t see coming. Fans of HBO’s “True Blood” will recognize Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) who plays the leading role. This film is from the producers of “Saw” and if you look closely in the attic scene you will see Billy the puppet from that series.
