What is it?: Based loosely on the classic Chinese tale, Journey to the West, Into the Badlands is set in a future America ruled by 7 warlords. Starring Daniel Wu as Sunny, a bad-ass martial artist travelling through a dangerous wasteland with his young ward M.K. (Aramis Knight) on a quest for enlightment. Like a modern Kung-Fu, with more blood and less Carradines.
Are we excited?: Into the Badlands is getting the prime post-Walking Dead slot for its debut which shows some confidence from AMC, and have you watched that trailer? This might be our surprise favorite of the season.
