20 Best Found Footage Horror Films

14. Europa Report (2013)
Okay, perhaps this is more sci-fi than horror, but Europe Report is still a pretty intense viewing experience. As in most space thrillers, the film features a group of doomed astronauts who decide to continue on with their mission (in this case, travelling to one of Jupiter’s moons, Europa) despite losing contact with Earth. After the crew encounters one horrible mishap after another, they discover evidence of alien life and decide to return to Earth. But, of course, their engines fail and they’re stranded on Europa.
So why should you see this film? It’s a stylish and atmospheric that holds the structure of a horror film but also maintains a hefty amount of “hard sci-fi.”
Europa Report
is a smart, minimalist film – an intelligent addition to the found footage genre.
