Southern Hospitality
This relatively new title from Approbation Comics takes familiar tropes from horror slashers and works them into a well thought out narrative with fantastic art from Kevin Richardson. The deceptively simple story begins when a supermodel and her boyfriend take a road trip through Alabama, a route that takes them through the strange town of Boons Creek, to a party in Florida. They never make it. Later, two groups of travelers band together to take one massive road trip that, of course, leads them through Boons Creek. I think you can all see where this is going. Boons Creek is full of unfriendly and strange people, including a scythe-wielding psychopath. Good times.
