2. ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic in Halloween II

Rob Zombie’s second attempt at a Halloween film was even worse than his first.  The White Zombie musician showed that he had no clue what it was that made Michael Myers so scary in the original film.  The suspense the character was once able to provide was long gone, and instead we got a hefty plate of arbitrary nudity, excessive gore and a few too many unnecessary cameos from random horror personalities.

One surprising guest in the film, however, was the legendary ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic.  Appearing on a talk show hosted by Talking Dead‘s Chris Hardwick, Al plays himself as a special guest alongside Dr. Loomis, who is promoting his new book about surviving the Michael Myers murders.  Loomis isn’t taken seriously by Hardwick, nor by Yankovic, who keeps rudely interrupting him.  It’s funny, but the only thing I don’t like about it is that it makes ‘Weird Al’ look kind of like a dick.  Could you imagine the controversy that’d be created in real life if Yankovic went on TV, cracking jokes about the victims of a mass murderer?
