‘Friday The 13th’: Ranking The Classic Series “Final Girls”

Cutting her way to the head of the list is Ginny, played lovingly and strongly by Amy Steel in Steve Miner’s Friday the 13th Part 2 .What can be said about Ginny that hasn’t already been said? She’s miles above every other “Final Girl” in the classic slasher series and most horror franchises could learn a thing or two. Just look to both her thoughts at the bar on the possibility of Jason’s existence (“Final Girls” are smart and empowered, not victims), and her intelligence to put on Mrs. Voorhees’ old sweater, from the original, and fool a sack-faced Jason. They don’t make’em like Ginny anymore and Steel crushes her role with ease. She smart, likable and bring it to ole Jason. A true classic character.
