Velma is Final Girl in ‘Scooby Doo’ Parody

I’ve always loved the original Scooby Doo, Where Are You? cartoons. There is something about the hokey nature of the show that simply made it great, and the spooky movie fan in me liked all the different creatures or phantoms that would be at the source of the mysteries. As a sucker for cheesy twist endings, as well, I always got a kick out of the predictable reveal that the menace was just some schmuck in a mask in every single episode.

More from Horror Movies

Now, Bloody Disgusting has posted a Scooby Doo parody video created by Youtube channel Amalgam Studios, which takes the Scooby Doo cartoons and gives them a horror twist. When Velma returns to the Mystery Machine to find some of her friends have been stabbed to death, things only get worse when she notices a killer clown glaring at her while holding a bloody knife. She then becomes this horror spoof’s ‘final girl’ as she runs for her life.

Will Velma survive, or will this be the last of Mystery, Inc.? What would happen if she were to drop and break her glasses? Is this assailant really an evil, killer clown, or is this just some other masked goofball who’s particularly perturbed by meddling kids? And just where the hell is Scooby Doo?!

The cast featured Lauren Bregman as Velma, Sidney Cumbie as the Phantom Prankster, Shaughn Buchholz as Shaggy, Amanda Lynne Shafer as Daphne and William Sterling as Fred. The prosthetics were provided by RBFX.
