5. Jamie Bamber
According to a 2010 article from Big Shiny Robot, “reliable sources” strongly pointed to actor Jamie Bamber as Frank Darabont’s choice to play Rick Grimes. Bamber is best known for playing Lee Adama, a main character on the sci-fi show Battlestar Galactica. Sci-fi fans would’ve certainly loved this one, and I have to agree that he does look a lot like a Rick Grimes. In the end, though, I’m not sure he has that same sort of ‘everyman’ charm that Andrew Lincoln has.
