‘Elm Street’: Bring In Valentine’s Day With Hours Of Freddy!
By Joey Click
Now this is one amazing way to spend Valentine’s Day with your one true love: Freddy Krueger!
According to Bloody-Disgusting, El Ray Network (filmmaker Robert Rodriguez’s stellar addition to your television lineup) will be hosting a marathon of the one, and the only, Springwood Slasher.
Starting February 13th, and not ending until late Valentines Day, the leader in Mexican-American content will be doing nothing but being in business with “The Bastard Son of a Hundred Maniacs”.

Seen all the films multiple times you say? Have the films in every incarnation available I hear? Not that big a deal as you’ve seen the classic New Line series more times than the “Elm Street Enigma” has been resurrected? Well get ready to have a reason to sharpen that glove and order El Ray Network!
Not only will the network being playing the series (sadly sans Freddy’s Dead and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare) but the marathon will also be bringing us episodes of the hard-sought Freddy’s Nightmares (1988-1990). Not only that, as if that wasn’t already enough, the marathon will be honored with an appearance by the gloved one himself Robert Englund!

I don’t know about you Soldiers of Springwood, but this guy is stoked more than a Powerball ticket holder. While I too have seen the Elm Streets multiple times, as well as the Freddy’s Nightmare series (on bootleg as it’s never been officially released here. Please don’t tell the Television Production Po Po), I’d kill to see the hosting of genre vet Englund. The man is a class act and a living legend. Unfortunately, I don’t have El Ray as I’m sure a lot of you don’t. So if you do, be sure to check this amazing situation out. Just don’t let me know, because if I find out…. one, two, Joey’s coming for you!!!
To hold you over, check out the ending credits from 1991’s Freddy’s Dead:
Never sleep again.
