‘The Walking Dead’: Each Season’s Saddest Death

‘The Walking Dead’ has had no shortage of character deaths throughout its six seasons on AMC. Let’s go back and rank the saddest deaths from each season of the TV series.

Character deaths may be par for the course when it comes to The Walking Dead. At this point in the game, fans know how it is. But that doesn’t mean it still doesn’t affect us when we have to say goodbye to some of our favorite characters when they ultimately have to leave the show.

While every season has featured multiple deaths, there has always been one that stands high above the others as giving viewers the biggest emotional gut punch. With the seasons that featured multiple characters biting it (or getting bitten, rather), the ranking may have come close, but at the end of the day, I can only choose one.

Let me grab my box of tissues as we stroll through the virtual graveyard of The Walking Dead characters, paying our respects to those zombie slayers who have left the show to move on to that big fortified prison in the sky. We’ll start back at Season 1 and work our way up to now— the end of Season 6.
