9. The house used in the film’s climax is the school from Halloween H20.

In Halloween H20, Jamie Lee Curtis reprised her role as Laurie Strode in a story set 20 years after the killings by Michael Myers in Haddonfield, in which she survived. During the events of H20, Strode is revealed to now be working as a headmistress at a private boarding school.

The building used as the school in that movie was also a prominent location for Scream 3. It is used as the house where Roman Bridger’s birthday party is taking place, which is also the site for most of the murders in the film. So, Ghostface was running amok through Michael Myers’ territory, which oddly seems appropriate.

So while Jamie Lee Curtis opted not to show her face in Scream 3, we can still see a place where she’s been before. That’s surely not quite what they were hoping for, but hey— a link is a link, no matter how minimal.

In the time since Halloween: H20 and Scream 3, that house has also been used as the set for film Intolerable Cruelty and the TV show Rock Star: INXS. The 2016 indie horror film from Nicolas Winding Refn, The Neon Demon, also shot there as well.
