5. Full Moon Pictures could have produced the film.

Some people will say that Demon Knight is a rather cheesy horror movie, but maybe they had just never seen a Full Moon film. While their pride and joy is probably the Puppet Master franchise, a series of films about tiny, murderous puppets going on killing sprees, they have a plethora of schlocky, cheesy horror titles in a league of their own. I’m talking about movies like Killjoy, Demonic Toys, and Subspecies.

After Mary Lambert was forced to leave the project, Charles Band of Full Moon Studios swooped in and snatched the rights, the next in a long line of filmmakers attempting to breathe life into this demon story. As with everyone before them, Full Moon had problems of their own which forced them to walk away, this time due to budgetary concerns. Back to Hollywood purgatory it went.

So next time you call Demon Knight cheesy, just remember that it could have been made by the guys who did Gingerdead Man. You can’t deny that Full Moon’s version would have made the final product look like Citizen Kane in comparison. But I mean that with all due respect.
