After sitting in development hell for many years, the new Ghostbusters movie finally hit theaters in July of 2016. We’ve gathered up ten things about the movie you may not know.

When Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters  was first announced, it wasn’t met with the warmest reception. Fans who felt nostalgia for the original films in the franchise weren’t keen on the idea of a reboot, and the trailers did little to change their minds. A lot of people had condemned the movie before it had ever even been released.

Upon release, reviews for the film were mixed, with viewers saying that it was much better than the trailers suggested, or that it was even worse. Whether the movie is good or bad I will leave for you to decide, but either way, the concept of a new Ghostbusters film has always been interesting, so I did a little research on the reboot and how it came to be. I came across many interesting behind-the-scenes facts and random trivia about movie, and I have cherry picked the most intriguing ones of them all.
