Ghostbusters 2016 (Columbia Pictures/Sony)

2. Harold Ramis’ son Daniel also has a cameo

So a bronze bust of Harold Ramis can be seen in Ghostbusters, but that’s not the only way the Ramis family appeared in the new movie. Harold’s son, Daniel Ramis, can also be seen in the movie, during the scene when the new Ghostbusters are called to a concert hall to capture an apparition during a heavy metal concert.

Ramis is credited in this scene as “Metal Head”, but good luck pointing him out. Being a crowded rock concert and all, there are countless metal heads in the audience. As of now, it hasn’t yet been clarified which rocker is Ramis, at least I wasn’t able to get a clear answer despite several minutes spent searching on Google. But, at the very least, we know that Egon’s son is somewhere in the crowd during the concert.

This is the only film credit listed for Daniel Ramis, and it’s not known whether he will be aiming for other roles in Hollywood films in the future. But as Harold Ramis’ family was welcomed on the set for Ghostbusters, he could have just been given an on-screen bit part just as a further way of paying tribute to Harold.
