2. “Weird Al” Yankovic in Rob Zombie’s Halloween II

“Weird Al” Yankovic has been around since the 80s when he first rose to fame with well-known parodies made famous on the Dr. Demento radio program. He has since become known as one of the funniest and most beloved comedians, always showing up with new hilarious spoof songs every few years.

In Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, Dr. Loomis (as played by Malcolm McDowell) has written a book about the Michael Myers murders, and appears as a guest on a TV talk show called The Newman Hour alongside “Weird Al” Yankovic (playing himself).

While the subject matter of Loomis’ book is very serious, both Yankovic and host David Newman make light of it by constantly ribbing the doctor throughout the interview. Newman asks Loomis how he feels about the accusations that he is profiting from the suffering of others, but before he can answer, Yankovic hijacks the question.

“Well, you know, I think that’s completely unfounded. I always get permission when I do the parodies,” Yankovic would chime in. Loomis would answer the question next only to get his answer brushed off by Newman, and the poor doctor is furious by the time the interview is over.
