9. David Hasselhoff in Piranha 3DD
Piranha 3DD probably isn’t a film that’s a must-have for your blu-ray collection, but it can be a fun watch. Its dark humor gives it a certain charm, and its treatment of Baywatch star David Hasselhoff is definitely the greatest, and most hilarious, part of the movie.
Hasselhoff, as himself, is sitting as a lifeguard at a swimming pool when it is attacked by killer fish. With people getting killed, Hasselhoff at first seems apathetic, saying that he has never really been a lifeguard, so what should he do?
The sounds of screaming tugs at his heartstrings, however, and Hasselhoff then decides to help. He runs in slow motion with his shirt off, as he used to do on Baywatch, taking a break to catch his breath in the process. He does make it to the water and manages to save a small child, finally becoming a real lifeguard after all. But when the kid winds up dying anyway, Hasselhoff grows angry refers to him as a “Ginger moron”.
Hasselhoff even makes a second cameo of sorts in a post-credits scene for the film. He is running on the beach while carrying a trident, in a faux ad for “Fishhunter”.
