6. Jason Mewes in Feast

The 2005 John Gulager horror film Feast was an entertaining flick that later spawned two sequels. It’s a simple story about monsters attacking the patrons of a hole in the wall bar, with those trapped inside doing everything they can to survive. It has many horrifying elements, though it’s stuffed with dark humor throughout as well.

One of the more humorous parts about the film is the inclusion of Jason Mewes, best known as Silent Bob’s best buddy Jay in Kevin Smith’s movies like Clerks, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. In Feast, Mewes appears as one of the patrons of the bar, and he is actually playing himself. Apparently, Mewes was taking a break from filming View Askew movies to shoot pool and have a few drinks, but he chose the worst night to do so.

What happens is (SPOILER ALERT) the monsters get inside, and one of them literally rips Mewes’ face off. Mewes runs around screaming in shock, only to wind up accidentally shot and killed by another person in the bar. Being a recognizable actor playing himself, I had expected Mewes to make it much farther in the movie, as this all happens in the beginning of the film.
