Freddy vs. Jason is essentially the final conclusion for both the A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th film franchises. Here are 10 things you didn’t know about the film.

Horror movie fans seem to have mixed opinions about Freddy vs. Jason. Some were disappointed with the end result of the long-awaited battle. Others consider it a cult classic and a proper ending for the original Freddy and Jason timelines.

10. Tommy Jarvis was intended to be in the film

Other than the murderous Voorhees family— Jason and his mother, Pamela— who’s the biggest character in the Friday the 13th series? If you’re a fan of the film series, then you are certainly saying, “Tommy Jarvis, you idiot.”

Tommy first appears in the film series as a child played by Corey Feldman in Part IV. He returns in Part V and again in Part VI, played by different actors each time. Unfortunately, after this, the character never comes back to finally vanquish Jason once and for all.

He could have though, if the original finished draft for Freddy vs. Jason was used. Jarvis was indeed a part of the story, and, get this, Jason Bateman was set to play him. Ultimately, the character’s subplot was cut as producers felt the story was already too long.
