In a recent interview, ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ star Bruce Campbell gave fans an update on his third biography, “Hail To The Chin: Further Confessions of a B Movie Actor”. Check It out below.

All hail the one true king!

In a recent interview with iHorror, beloved horror vet Bruce Campbell got candid about how his newest book came to be. Titled “Hail to the Chin: Further Confession of a B Movie Actor“, the new book marks the third time Campbell has been published in book form. The book is said to follow what has happened in the Ash vs Evil Dead’ actor’s life since his first book, “If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor”was released in 2002.

Check out what Campbell said in the interview below, courtesy of iHorror:

"It was kicking around. I was thinking of doing it because it’s actually been 15 years since the first book because that was 2001. There have been a lot of crazy things happening, a lot of travel, a lot of ridiculous stories working in Colombia and Bulgaria and there’s just no shortage of things to tell on the low-budget side of film-making. And what’s nice about this new book is that I end it on the “Ash vs Evil Dead” chapter."

The actor, most known for playing the legendary Ash Williams, goes on to add:

"It’s the whole concept of crawling back into the womb, which I’ve basically been trying to crawl back into the womb ever since we made the first Evil Dead. Because ironically, that is the only project that I ever worked on where we legally had 100 percent creative control according to the paperwork with our investors. They had no creative input into that project whatsoever. So people always say “Where’s the director’s cut of Evil Dead?” There was no director’s cut. There’s only one cut and that’s the director’s cut. Ever since then, we made our second movie Crimewave, and the studio came in, took the project over, re-cut the film, they did it with Army of Darkness, it happens a lot. Studios, if they put up the money, they’re the ones who have all the creative control and then directors can fight for it back-and-forth, but essentially that’s what it represents. Doing “Ash vs Evil Dead” is really crawling back into the womb of where it all began, back into a very comfortable spot."

What! This is better than apple pie on a hot Sunday morning!

While Campbell has been working steadily for the last 15 years, and his work on the USA show Burn Notice surely a big part of that, his current Starz show being included at the end makes me thrilled. With Ash vs Evil Dead recently ending it’s second season, this book is a dream for every fan of the show. While I won’t run right to the end, I am looking forward to reading about TV’s most underrated show. Look for “Hail to the Chin: Further Confession of a B Movie Actor” at the end of 2017.

As for Ash vs Evil Dead, Ash is now a hero and all is right in Detroit…for now. After Ash banishes Baal back to hell and saves the day, an old foe emerges and the future for “The Ghost Beaters” is up in the air. Starz has renewed the series for a third season, so we only have to wait a year to find out!
