Next year is looking to be an awesome year for horror movies, with several big name franchises stepping back into the fray. Let’s look at ten horror movies of 2017 I’m anticipating most.
2016 has been pretty hit or miss with horror movies. We’ve seen unique quality films like Don’t Breathe and Lights Out come out this year. Of course, 2016 is also the year of the Ghostbusters reboot, so we’ve hit some lows as well.
We’ll see how 2017 ends up faring, but the line-up looks pretty strong. Let’s look at the top ten movies coming out next year I’m most excited for, starting with…

The third movie in The Ring horror film franchise, Rings is set 13 years after the events of the second film. Bonnie Morgan returns to play the creepy ghost girl Samara Morgan.
This time, the fatal video (which kills people seven days after they watch it) has gone viral. A young woman named Julia (Matilda Lutz) curses herself with the video while trying to save her boyfriend from it. She learns more unknown secrets about the mysterious video, but will she learn enough about it before she dies?
Honestly, while I’m OK with reboots (in doses), it’s refreshing to see a direct sequel to the past Ring films, as opposed to another remake.
