3. Pamela Voorhees is featured in the game

Betsy Palmer did such an incredible job playing Jason’s mother, Pamela Voorhees, in Friday the 13th. Even though she would never appear in any of the sequels, the portrayal made Mrs. Voorhees forever an iconic horror character. Friday the 13th is certainly Jason’s show, but most fans of the series still have a fond appreciation for his evil mother who started it all.

Fortunately, they were able to work Mrs. Voorhees into the game as well. When playing as Jason, you can hear her voice talking to you. She talks to you at the start and end of each game, telling you what you must do or praising you on a job well done, respectively. It’s a creepy way to involve both her and Jason into the game and it’s very effective.

Palmer couldn’t reprise the role as she is sadly no longer with us. But as can be heard in sneak peek videos and on the beta, the actress they got does fantastic. Her voice still sounds exactly as it does in the original Friday the 13th movie.
