1. The director and the star find romance on the set
Surely, Paul W. S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich are proud of the original Resident Evil. Together their work on the project would evolve into producing many sequels. The series is now one of the highest-grossing film franchises ever. But there’s something else about that first movie that the two can appreciate even more.
It was on the set of this first RE flick that Anderson and Jovovich fell in love. The two hit it off so well that Anderson would first propose to her the following year. They would separate for a brief period of time before getting engaged again and marrying in 2009. Together, they have two children— one born in 2007 and another in 2015.
As Resident Evil: The Final Chapter prepares to hit the theaters, the couple will see the reaction to what could be their final RE collaboration. This may truly be the “Final Chapter” of this film series, but it’s just the next chapter in their lives together.
