8. Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris, Halloween parts 4 & 5)
The third Halloween film isn’t as bad as some people might lead you to believe. All the same, people were irate Michael Myers wasn’t included. This would be rectified with Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Set some time after the events of Halloween II, Michael Myers returns to Haddonfield to continue the body count he started many years prior.
Our new protagonist is a young girl by the name of Jamie Lloyd. She is the daughter of Laurie Strode, Michael’s primary target in the previous films. It seems Michael is looking to put an end to his bloodline by taking out his little niece. On Halloween night, Michael pursues young Jamie throughout Haddonfield, nearly succeeding in killing her. She survives and must endure another nightmare with Michael in the sequel Halloween 5.
Disregarding the fifth film, which retcons this ending, the way Halloween 4 concludes is downright eerie. Although Michael Myers is defeated, his evil lives on through Jamie. She attacks and seemingly kills her foster mother while wearing a clown costume, similar to Michael’s from the original film. Seeing the final shot of her holding a bloody pair of scissors, emotionless, stands out as one of the creepiest moments of my childhood.
