22. Ginger Fitzgerald (Katharine Isabelle, Ginger Snaps series)
The Ginger Snaps films are highly enjoyable for those familiar with this unique trilogy. Katharine Isabelle stars as Ginger Fitzgerald, a teenager unlucky enough to be bitten by a werewolf. Soon enough she finds herself transforming into a werewolf herself, her sister races to find a cure. As the process escalates, Ginger is killing different people in the neighborhood.
That first movie is pretty unique, earning it a significant fan base. This would see a sequel come, Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed. Although Ginger was vanquished in the first movie, Isabelle reprises the role. As her sister Brigitte is now undergoing her own transformation, Ginger constantly appears to her in visions. It’s a creative and creepy way of bringing the character back although she had been killed.
The third film in the trilogy is even more unusual than the others. It’s some kind of retelling of the two sisters as it takes place in the 19th century. But even though this is some kind of alternate version of Ginger, Isabelle still reprises the role. This third flick is admittedly not as high in quality as the first two, but still featuring Isabelle as Ginger is one of its brightest spots.
