5. Tyler Mane is the first actor to play Michael twice in a row

There are many different men to have played Michael Myers throughout the history of the Halloween franchise. Even the very first movie had two different actors playing the role. Nick Castle played “the Shape” while he was behind the mask; Tony Moran was Myers for the scene when Laurie rips the mask off his face. But throughout all the films, only two actors have ever played Myers more than once.

George P. Wilbur plays Michael in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. He’d find himself replaced, however, when its sequel Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers came out. Don Shanks would don the mask in that film. But Wilbur came back to play murderous Mike once again for Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers.

When Rob Zombie rebooted the film, he cast former WCW wrestler Tyler Mane into the role. Zombie enjoyed him so much in the part that he brought him back for this sequel. He even let Mane be the first one to speak as Michael in the series’ history. But this also makes Mane the first actor to play Michael two times in a row.
