6. This movie takes place on the days following Friday the 13th: Part 2

With Jason being defeated at the end of Friday the 13th Part 2, he crawls off into the night to recover from his machete wound to the shoulder. The key thing to note is that Part 2 ends on Friday the 13th, meaning Jason murders the store owner and his wife on Saturday the 14th.

All the fun and games that go down in the second and third act of the movie take place on Sunday the 15th, save for the ending, which would be Monday the 16th. Mondays suck huh?
