Friday the 13th Part 3: 6 things you might not know

4. Part 3 was going to be the first Friday the 13th to take Jason out of Crystal Lake for the majority of the movie

As I said before, Ginny was initially meant to return and be confined to a psychiatric facility, with a revenge hungry Jason hot on her heels leaving a trail of bodies in his wake.

It’s difficult to imagine how this movie would have panned out with the limited script information available. Maybe the facility was far away? How would Jason get there? Could the facility have been located in Crystal Lake as a “therapeutic retreat” kind of deal? Would we have finally found out what happened to Paul?!?!?

Hopefully one day the full story will be told. Maybe in graphic novel form? In my opinion, it does sound very similar to 1981’s Halloween 2 with a hint of 1987’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors. Still, it would be awesome to see.
