2. Misfits
No list of horror themed bands would be complete without the Misfits. These innovators of horror punk hail from Lodi, NJ and have been on the scene since 1977. Through the years the Misfits have gone through several line up changes but they are best known for their work with Glenn Danzig who fronted the band until 1983.
Recently the Misfits reunited and played several shows with Danzig performing all you’re horror punk favorites. Mommy, Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight, Skulls, Die, Die My Darling, and We Are 138 are essential listens.
