3. Sam Raimi has a cameo in the ending scene of the film
Many horror fans certainly realize that Ted Raimi, Sam’s brother, has a fairly big role in this movie as one of the Deadites. He’s the man in the “Henrietta” suit, the reanimated corpse of a woman whom had been buried years before in the cellar. It seems like this fact is one of the first things horror fans learn when talking about Evil Dead 2.
But something that has slipped under the radar for many (including me, at least) was that Sam himself is also in the film. The director has a cameo very close to the end of the flick, after Ash has already sent back in time. He’s the very first knight to raise his sword and speak, encouraging his fellow men to all bow down for Ash.
Once you know it’s him, however, you’ll feel like a dope for never noticing it before.
