Friday the 13th: The Game confirms killer new content coming soon

Tons of new content is coming to the Friday the 13th game, including a new Jason, a new map, a Spring Break 1984 clothing pack, and even more!

If you thought streamers were already spending far too much time staring at Tiffany’s, uh, assets, just wait until the new DLC!

On the official social media accounts for Friday the 13th: The Game, they announced the launch of their all-new website. With it comes the reveal of lots of radical new stuff heading to the game. With Single Player on the horizon and all of this new content coming our way as well, let’s just say it’s a great time to be a camp counselor.

The first new item in store for us, as revealed on the new website, is the “Spring Break 1984” clothing pack. It will feature “trunks and bikinis” for all of the playable counselors — meaning we’ll get to see nerdy Deborah looks like underneath the Bill Cosby sweater. It will be available “SOON” for $1.99 USD for a limited time, after which it will be $3.99.

Also officially confirmed on the revamped website is an ALL NEW MAP which is based on an actual location from the films. Unfortunately, they’re not saying yet which film the map will be taken from. Is it Camp Forest Green? The alleyways of Manhattan? We’ll have to wait and see, but the devs are confirming that it’s free!

Teasing us a little further is the announcement of an ALL NEW JASON as well. As with the map, they’re not saying which Jason this is. There are a select few from the films which haven’t yet made it in. It could be either Uber Jason or The Final Chapter Jason… we just don’t know yet.

That brings us to the mysterious dots the game devs have been parading online. The game website itself mentions these dots, encouraging fans to discuss just what they might mean. These images show a set of eight dots with seven of them being black, and one of them blue. My theory? Whatever this means, the climax will be the reveal of the new Jason and map. I’m thinking (or at least hoping) that it ends up Roy Burns from A New Beginning, with the Pinehurst Halfway House map.

Of course, if this is Part 5 content that they’re incorporating, they damn sure better include the enchilada-eating Demon as well — I’ve already gotten Miguel Nunez, Jr. to agree to provide his voice, after all.

Also featured on the website will be “Weekly Events”. Looking at the preview photo, we can presume it will feature various challenges, with new ones added weekly. It certainly helps add motivation for players to keep coming back to camp every week.
