Jabbawockeez

Description: Originating from the Westside of the galaxy light years away, the Jabbawockeez, have crash-landed on planet Earth and are now stranded in the 1950s. Feeling out of place from outer space, a musical journey ensues as they try to find a way back home. On this fantastic voyage through this strange land, the Jabbawockeez encounter a like-minded and masked character named Alizé – unaware that this being they’ve just met may hold the key to the Jabbawockeez’ homecoming.

My Thoughts: I don’t care what people say, I absolutely love the Jabbawockeez. These masked dancers know how to put on one hell of a show while showcasing their immense talent. However, I will say, after speaking with a friend of mine, they mentioned that though they enjoy the show they wished it was Halloween themed. That is definitely something I would love to see as each year I’ve been going the overall theme had nothing to do with Halloween. Here’s to hoping that next year we may get a taste of a more spooky related dance show.

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood. Though I felt like some of the mazes suffered in terms of scares and design, there were enough mazes that really took it to the next level and made for an enjoyable experience. I would like to see more design focus on the transition areas within the mazes as I think that would give a fully immersed feeling to guests going through.

My only other critique would be that I would like to see better placement of the scare actors so that it’s not obvious as to where they are coming out of. With that said, I would still visit Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood again towards the end of the season to see if there are any improvements. If you are a fan of IP’s and jump scares, then you’ll want to get tickets to Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood before they sell out. I would urge getting the Front of the Line Passes as lines get crazy long and you’ll not want to miss anything.
