Josh Hartnett reveals if he’s coming to Haddonfield for Halloween 2018

With fans wondering if Josh Hartnett is coming back to the Halloween series, the H20 actor is revealing if he’ll again play John Tate.

It’s looking like Josh Hartnett had enough trick’r’treating in Halloween: H20

According to Huffpost, Josh Hartnett isn’t coming back to Haddonfield (I know he was never there, but love saying it). With Jamie Lee Curtis stunning fans by announcing a return to the iconic Halloween franchise, everyone’s wondering if Laurie’s son is coming along. Well apparently, that question is getting put to rest.

Here’s what Hartnett, who just welcomed another child into his crazy world, is saying about returning to Halloween:

"“I’m pretty much always looking forward. That’s not something I would be looking to be a part of, but it’s not that I didn’t have a great time. I had a great time working with Jamie and I think she’s fantastic, but the whole thing about self-determination is something that’s really important to me”"

While it sucks to see it in print from the man himself, I’m not surprised. Hartnett didn’t necessarily want to do H20 — showing up from a package deal with Dimension — and seems to do only select projects these days. Which, although I’d love to see him back, I respect him all the more for it.

Also, the events of H20 never happened in the new film. Taking place after the original two classics, with rumors only the ’78 classic is being used, John no longer exists in this new timeline. Like comics, this is a “what if” sequel — something film has never seen before (unless you want to count H20 itself). And with every fiber of my being, I’m looking forward to. But are you?
