With Halloween fast approaching, we’re taking a look at this year’s top 10 Halloween costumes for those looking to dress up on October 31st!

Every October, many of us celebrate the festivities of the Halloween season by dressing up in costume. But how do you know which one you should buy? Whether it’s something funny, scary, or just downright bizarre, there are tons of great options for you to check out (and even more on SpiritHalloween’s website). 10. Rick from Rick and Morty
Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty has only just gotten into its third season, but it’s already one of the most popular animated shows on television. Its following is growing rapidly and will likely be around for many more years (and seasons) to come.
Obviously, it was no shock that costumes based on the series would be made. And you’re bound to get tons of compliments on your Rick costume if you choose to dress up as the crazy, alcoholic mad scientist. Bonus points if you can burp on command.
In case you’re wondering, yes, they have Morty too. But who wants to be Morty?

9. Eleven from Stranger Things
Straight off of the Emmy nomination for her actress Millie Bobby Brown, “Eleven” from Stranger Things is sure to be seen in costume form this Halloween. She is absolutely one of the biggest fan favorites from the smash hit Netflix series and while we’ll probably see some of the others out trick-or-treating, Eleven is the one you wanna be.
The only thing this costume is missing is a box of Eggo waffles. To truly complete the look, you’ll have to make a quick stop at the grocery store after getting this sweet outfit.
8. 1960s Batman
Earlier this year, the world lost a tremendous entertainer with the death of Adam West. What better way to pay tribute to TV’s first Batman than by dressing up as him for Halloween?
Sure, most Batman outfits are much darker, with films like The Dark Knight and Batman v Superman presenting dark versions of the superhero. But longtime Batman fans still appreciate that classic look West’s Batman wore in the 1960s show. If you want to be Batman on Halloween, this should be the one!

7. Freddy Fazbear
The video game series Five Nights at Freddy’s has become a smash hit and a hot new addition to the horror genre. Freddy and his gang of animatronic, murderous misfits are horrifying today’s children the way Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees were doing back when I was a kid. If you want to terrify the children walking around your neighborhood this Halloween, you can do so by dressing up as Freddy Fazbear!

6. Deadpool
Ever since the Ryan Reynolds starring superhero flick Deadpool came out, the superhero-in-red is now one of the most popular figures in pop culture. There’s good reason for it though. Deadpool is not only one hell of a badass, but he’s hilarious too. How can you pass up the opportunity to become Deadpool, if only just for a night?

5. Wonder Woman
At a time when practically every movie to come out based on DC superheroes are total stinkers, Wonder Woman was truly a breath of fresh air. Not only DC’s best effort by far in recent years, it’s one of the more revered superhero flicks to come out in a long time. You’re going to see Batman and Superman wandering around on Halloween, but with awesome costumes like this one based on the character, we deserve to see Wonder Woman outfits out there as well.

4. Twisty the Clown from American Horror Story
Even still, Twisty the Clown is perhaps the scariest character to come out of the FX horror anthology series American Horror Story. Those who are afraid of clowns will be frightened by Twisty even if they’ve never seen the program. And of course, those who have seen it will probably be even more afraid.

3. Charred Walker from The Walking Dead
You’ll no doubt see lots of costumes inspired by the AMC zombie drama The Walking Dead on Halloween. Aside from seeing versions of the heroes like Michonne, Daryl, Rick Grimes, and the rest, you may see some zombies from the show as well. But this sick “Charred Walker” mask, based on some of those smoldering walkers we saw in previous episodes, looks the most wicked of them all. If you wear this you will have the freakiest Walking Dead costume on Halloween night.

2. Tina from Bob’s Burgers
New to this year’s selection of horror costumes is Tina Belcher, the awkward, hopeless romantic teen from Bob’s Burgers. Though the entire cast of characters is hilarious, Tina just might be the funniest one on the show. Quoting her would also be tons of fun for anyone who dresses up as Tina for Halloween. Bob’s Burgers fan? Then this outfit is for you!

1. Pennywise
Perhaps because the new IT movie just came out, there aren’t many professional options for costumes based on the new Pennywise. Fortunately, the wicked clown from the 1990 mini-series is still just as horrifying, if not more so! The Tim Curry version of the scariest clown ever looks just as frightening now as it did before, and at a time when Pennywise is in, it’s a fantastic time to be Pennywise the Dancing Clown!
