Ash vs Evil Dead: Save the show and binge with the STARZ 7-day trial!

Perhaps in an attempt to whet fans appetites and gain new viewers for Ash vs Evil Dead, STARZ tweets a Halloween marathon idea for the show with a free 7-day trial!

By now, most fans are well aware that Ash vs Evil Dead is coming back to STARZ on Feb. 25, 2018 at 9 P.M. This is great news but star of the show, Bruce Campbell on his Hail to the Chin tour was urging fans to binge watch the series, buy the merchandise and generally show their support to the network.

The reason for the fervent pleas, is because AVED is “on the bubble.” That is an industry term for when a program hasn’t been renewed and its future is uncertain. Yes, there is a Season 3 but originally Campbell and company were down for doing the show for five seasons.

At a recent book signing, Bruce even hinted at the possibility of going beyond Season 5 if renewed. From chatting with fans, this is definitely what they want. So, how can they make it happen?

This free 7-day trial could be the vehicle to get STARZ to pay attention. If fans of the show would recruit their friends and or family members that dig horror and humor to do the free trial, the potential exists that a couple of those individuals might become new viewers.

Also, it is an excellent way to subscribe to STARZ which as everyone knows will help the show tremendously. It really is a very basic cause and effect principal. The more people that become exposed to AVED, the more likely it is that viewership will increase and so will the ratings.

At this point in time, to the network executives, it looks as if AVED doesn’t have fans. As Bruce Campbell so astutely pointed out on Good Day LA. Now is the time for the loyal Ash lovers to rise to the occasion.

What Can You Do?

Here is a list of suggestions on how you can make a difference and help to save the show:

1. Take to social media (Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, etc.) share the free trial information from STARZ.
2. Use your own network. It’s Halloween! You know what that means? Pink F**ks! Get some libations, kick back and watch AVED with your friends. Hell, turn it into a drinking game. Blood splatter? Do a shot!
3. Dana DeLorenzo’s idea – get nine of your friends to pitch in a dollar to purchase the STARZ app ($8.99). That way everyone can experience the show.

I intend to do all of the above. This is an excellent time and opportunity to show STARZ that the AVED fanbase is strong. Let’s show them that Bruce Campbell and the Ghostbeaters have “legs” and that the show can continue into a fourth season and beyond!

Remember to #bringbackboomstick on all social media. If you haven’t signed the Change.org petition, please do so! Also join in the media campaign on October 31 to let STARZ know that you want them to renew AVED. Every effort counts toward the greater goal of keeping this awesome series on the air!
