4. Creighton Duke (Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday)

Tommy Jarvis isn’t the only one to have some kind of personal history with Jason. In the ninth film in the series, Jason Goes to Hell, we learn that someone else is determined to destroy Jason once and for all as well. I’m obviously talking about Creighton Duke, the bounty hunter with a mysterious backstory but a clear hatred for Jason.

Of course, whatever happened between Duke and Jason was off-screen, prior to the events of the film. Did Jason kill someone Creighton loves? Is the Duke now out for vengeance? He tells Jason, “Remember me?!” when they meet in the film, confirming some bad blood between the two of them.

Although this film has gotten a lot of criticism over the years, many fans agree that Creighton Duke is an awesome character. By the end of the flick, I felt like he was a total badass. That’s why I couldn’t help but be disappointed that Jason gave him a back-crack from Hell moments later, snapping Duke’s spine and killing him. Perhaps, by that point in the film, I had fully expected Duke to make it.
