I first found out about Sad Satan two years ago. Then I ran across it again while on Twitter looking at posts @HorrorBible.

This game is only available on the Tor network. You have to go deep into the Dark Web to find it. Then again, those that have usually regret what they have done. In the case of #Omega2k, he blocked out some horrific images because they were way too disturbing.

The graphics are grainy and you get the feeling that you are playing an old school game. That effect just makes it even creepier. Couple that with random sounds of dialogue and flashes of images like the guy standing in the hall of antlers, it is easy to get spooked.

After viewing the short footage on Twitter, I became intrigued and decided to go to YouTube for further research. That is how I stumbled upon #Omega2k’s video. When you view it, his anxiety becomes your anxiety.

Game of Terror

You never know what is lurking around the corner. His reaction to the disturbing photographs is visceral and it makes me want to find out exactly what he was seeing. However, be prepared for the screaming.

That in particular will haunt you. It doesn’t sound like an actress. What it does sound like is someone actually meeting their final destination. When you think about it in that context, it will chill you to the very core of your being.

Who created this exercise in the macabre? Some say the YouTube channel Obscure Horror Corner did in an effort to increase their subscriptions. Wikipedia states that the owner of OHC got the link courtesy of a deep web forum from a user known as ZK.

This has all the makings of an X Files episode. The game caught the eye of the Reddit community. In fact, it was discovered that the original Sad Satan contained violent gore and other questionable imagery. Therefore, some of the Reddit group created a “clean” version that removed the disturbing subject matter.
