Ash vs Evil Dead: Robert Englund supports #BringBackBoomstick
Emanuele Crivello of Bring Back Boomstick on Facebook and bringbackboomstick.com had the pleasure of meeting horror icon Robert Englund. Something surprising took place and 1428 Elm has the full story!

Meeting Freddy
Yesterday seemed like an ordinary day for horror fan, Emanuele Crivello. He was at the Milan Comic Con to see Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Emanuele, he is the creator of the Bring Back Boomstick page on Facebook and he is also the webmaster behind bringbackboomstick.com.
Emanuele also happens to be a huge fan of Ash vs Evil Dead which is why he started the Facebook page and website. It was his way of banding together with other like-minded people to try and get the series a Season 4 renewal.
Crivello has also created different campaign banners for #bringbackboomstick each month. This particular one for December features Ash and one of Ruby and Baal’s creepy spawn.

AVED is a show that he is very passionate about and he has also been one of the driving forces behind the monthly media blitzes on STARZ.
Two Iconic Horror Franchises
When Emanuele went to the Con, he knew he had a simple request for Robert Englund. He wasn’t too certain if it would work but you never know until you try. Finally, he had his meet and greet with the legendary actor.
Englund who is a veteran of the Con circuit is also a colleague of Bruce Campbell. Of course, fans of both actors know the story behind the saga of the Freddy vs Jason vs Ash film that never came to pass.
According to Englund in Den of Geek, “I loved the idea. I had this vision of the poster. Bruce Campbell with his shirt open and all of his abs spray painted and highlighted, with Freddy Krueger under [one] arm and Jason under [the other] arm. And the poster would say: ‘Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash: Keeping the world safe from sequels.’”

Mustering up the courage, Crivello asked Englund if he would hold up a #bringbackboomstick sign. Happy to support a peer, Englund was more than willing to accommodate Emanuele’s request.

With the horror genre being a niche in the entertainment industry it is really good to see contemporaries supporting one another. Robert Englund is a class act!
