The X-Files: Scully has a doppelganger and other Season 11 teasers
According to TVLine, Season 11 just keeps getting more and more mysterious as Fox releases another sneak peek at the X-Files. Join us at 1428 Elm as we get caught up in the countdown to January 3!

More Revelations or Questions?
The new trailer for the X-Files has everyone buzzing and speculating on possible plot points for future episodes. TVLine was particularly interested in Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) possibly having her own desk! Both Anderson and David Duchovny are confident that fans will be happy with the show.
“It feels more like quintessential X-Files this season,” Anderson says. Duchovny states, “We’re better set up to get back to the partnership and the banter that comes with that.”
As we had reported previously, David Duchovny felt that season 10 was “exposition heavy about how to get you up to speed.” Season 11 hits the ground running almost immediately. Those exchanges between Scully and Mulder from the original series are definitely in play in current episodes.
According to Anderson, “We’re having the same conversations of Scully’s versions of things versus Mulder’s version of things and how they find their way to an answer.” That element of their relationship was always fun to watch.
Duchovny and Anderson’s chemistry is unbelievable. Even Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner) agrees. He also cites the writers and Chris Carter as creating “stories that are absolutely amazing!”
Evil Twin Theory
There is even talk of evil twins! We see a shot of Scully by a car looking into a crowd only to find herself staring back at herself. Talk about creepy! Dana even says to Mulder, “Anyone with an imagination can entertain and act out violence. That doesn’t mean there is an evil twin lurking inside of us.”
To which Mulder replies, “Speak for yourself, Scully.” Since I obviously don’t know the storyline of that particular episode, I might offer a possible explanation. Rather than the doppelganger theory, what about an alien clone?
If you remember in the 90’s on the show, there were several episodes about alien bounty hunters and the clones that they were trying to eliminate.
We already know Scully has extraterrestrial DNA so could it be possible that she has a half human, half alien hybrid running around with evil intentions?
