Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan

It took eight movies, but Jason Voorhees is finally taking a vacation. In the eighth film, Jason heads to Manhattan on a cruise ship, fleeing the rural campgrounds for the busy city. Though the budget kept Jason on the boat for the bulk of the film, he does make it to New York. And there’s just something inherently interesting about seeing Jason standing there unnoticed in Times Square.
The poster for Jason Takes Manhattan features the hockey mask high above the city. His gloved hand holds one of his trademark knives, hinting that New York has a new problem as the tagline suggests. Fans like to debate the quality of the film, but at the very least, the poster itself is pretty damn cool.
