Big Trouble in Little China steelbook on its way from Arrow Video
By James Devine
A few years ago, Arrow Video released a steelbook of John Carpenter’s cult classic. Now they’ve teamed up with Zavvi to bring a new version featuring some familiar cover art.
Your blu-ray collection is headed to China…
Released in 1986, there’s no arguing that Big Trouble in Little China is one of the best genre flicks of the ’80s. The film was directed by John Carpenter and stars Kurt Russell in his heyday, alongside Kim Cattrall and a terrific performance by James Hong as Lo Pan. Now, Zavvi confirms the cult classic is getting an all new blu-ray release.

As someone who missed out on the original steelbook and doesn’t want to pay upwards of £80-£100, I’m happy about this. The steelbook is still available for pre-order on the Zavvi website, although I wouldn’t leave it too long as these kind of releases usually sell out pretty quick. I will definitely be picking this one up for a reasonable £17.99.
