When the third Elm Street film brought success back to the series, the future of the franchise was back on track. A fourth movie, The Dream Master, would hit theaters in 1988. In the film, we learn that the efforts of the Dream Warriors in the prior movie was for naught, as Freddy Krueger once again returns to resume his nighttime killing spree. Perhaps what’s needed to stop Freddy isn’t necessarily a team of Dream Warriors, but a Dream Master?
As with each poster so far, The Dream Master has some pretty fantastic artwork. The ghoulish image of Freddy’s face is back, as are the blades of his all too familiar glove. Horror fans in 1988 were surely intrigued when they saw this poster hanging in the cinema. Would Freddy Krueger finally meet his match with this apparent Dream Master?
