A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989)

Would there ever be any stopping Freddy Krueger? By the fifth film in the series, horror fans were starting to wonder. It seems that nothing anyone was doing was working, and Freddy just always comes back. The Dream Warriors failed, as did the Dream Master, so where does that leave us next? As the title of A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 suggests, it’s with The Dream Child! Maybe this strange child showing up in Alice’s dreams is the key in destroying Freddy once and for all…

The Dream Child seems to garner mixed opinions from the fans as to its place in the series. But, like all of the other entries, it definitely has some amazing artwork. Freddy’s freaky face and trademark claws are back once again. And the crib in the image adds an extra layer of creepiness to Freddy, highlighting his history as a child murderer.
