Dana DeLorenzo named Artemis Action Next Wave Award winner!
Dana DeLorenzo of Ash vs Evil Dead has joined the impressive roster of award winners at the Artemis Women in Action Film Festival.

The Power of Kelly
Melanie Wise of Artemis Motion Pictures announced via PR Web the Artemis Women in Action Film Festival award winners yesterday. One of those lucky recipients is none other than Dana DeLorenzo who plays fan favorite Kelly Maxwell on Ash vs Evil Dead.
Founded in 2015, this festival is truly original and is designed according to their website to “honor female action and empowerment heroes.” DeLorenzo’s wise cracking, hilariously profane heroine, Kelly Maxwell is all about forging her path and creating her own destiny.
Ever since Season 1, Kelly is routinely cited as a beloved character on the series. She has managed to win the hearts and admiration of viewers around the world. Her tour de force performance in this year’s episode ‘Tales from the Rift,’ gave the show its second highest ratings since the Season 3 opener!
Part of what makes the audience (men and women alike) identify with her is she is just like them. Kelly is human. She doesn’t have an invisible plane or special wonder twin powers. Her strength comes from looking death in the face on a daily basis and consistently conquering it.
We have seen her develop from the tough as nails Value Stop clerk into a female warrior who will stop at nothing to save her adopted family. If she had to, she could confidently fill Ash’s shoes as the leader of the Ghostbeaters.
